The Send Hunger Packing-Backpack Program assists kids who may not have enough food to eat over the weekend.

In the United States, nearly 17 million children under 18 live in households where they are unable to consistently access enough nutritious food necessary for a healthy life. Nutrition deficiencies can lead to serious health problems including: impaired cognitive development, growth failures, physical weakness, anemia and stunted growth.

The Rotary Club of Branchburg is working with local schools in Branchburg to provide backpacks full of food for kids so they will have enough to eat on the weekends.
